PERDIXPro Global 4G Cat 1bis & 2G GPS tracking tags are designed for use in conjunction with the PERDIXPro Tracking Tool, one of the digital tools available on the PERDIXPro platform. These tags are designed for use in areas where Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) cellular connectivity is not widely available or where tracking is required across different countries for research and management projects, particularly in Africa.
These tracking tags are perfect for asset monitoring, livestock and wildlife tracking, and lone worker safety monitoring.
Within your PERDIXPro account, the tracking tags can be remotely set up with various tracking options. Choose between Tracking Types; Continuous or Trip, Tracking Modes; Periodic or Movement and then set the number of locations received.
Tracking Types
Continuous - Maps a continuous path from locations received.
Trip - Maps a separate path each time movement is detected.
Tracking Modes
Periodic - Provides a location at set times.
Movement - Provides locations only when movement is detected.
For security applications, unlimited Geofences can be created in your PERDIXPro account to provide alerts when a tag has moved outside on an area.

Weighing only 166g, an accuracy of ~2m and a battery life of up to 10 years, these devices have been used worldwide to successfully track both livestock and various wildlife species. PERDIXPro Tracking Tag connection fees
We provide two options for PERDIXPro connection; Short Term Subscriptions or Project Packages.
Short Term Subscriptions
These are designed for short term tracking projects where the tags will be deployed for a few months each year or the project will last for up to 2 years. Users activate a tag's subscription whenever required in their PERDIXPro portal. Tracking tags can be activated for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months depending on your project duration. Short Term Subscriptions start at £5 per month (excludes VAT where applicable). There are no charges for the tags when not being used. Project Packages
Our packages are designed for projects that wish to combine the cost of the tag and subscription in one upfront payment. This is often favourable when applying for capital items via a grant. Project packages are available for 3 or 5 years and include:
- A 4G Tracking tag.
- A set of AA batteries (Energizer Lithium).
- Tag connection to PERDIXPro for the duration of the package i.e. 3 or 5 years.
- Extended tag warranty for the duration of a package. Standard warranty is 2 years.
- Subscriptions start at time of tag delivery or on a prior agreed date.
- Unable to move devices between different accounts during a package period.
