Description

The PERDIX Pheasant transmitter model is designed for projects where a low weight and long life VHF radio tag is required. Starting at a weight of 11g, the standard Pheasant model can be configured to have a battery life of between 15 months to 22 months.  All Pheasant models are encapsulated with an very tough waterproof epoxy resin (various colours available) and come with a mortality sensor and our ‘one-touch’ on/off magnet-activated reed switch. Attachment via necklace or gauze (glued).

Our transmitters have been designed and tested by wildlife biologists with extensive experience of radio-tracking various species around the world.  At only £90 (€120, US$125) (ex VAT) our radio tags allow biologists to increase their sample sizes without compromising on the quality of their radio-tracking data.
