Spare metal port for our PERDIX Game Bird Feeder or our PERDIX Farmland Feeder. Or can be used to make your own hopper for game birds (including quail, partridges and pheasants) or farmland songbirds.
Supplied with a 16mm or 50mm bolt and wing nut for fixing, the PERDIX Feeder Port neatly fits into a 32mm diameter hole – a standard size for hole cutters. A 5-6mm hole is then used to attach the port to the feeder using the bolt provided. Please contact us if you have any further questions.
Depending on the types of birds you are wanting to feed, the 50mm bolt can either be fixed pointing into or out of the feeder. With the bolt pointing outwards it acts as a perch for small birds. Although ground-feeding birds such as grey partridges can feed with the bolt in either position, we prefer not to create a perch when attracting these birds so the shorter 16mm bolt would be more suitable.
Of course, you can always have some ports with a perch and others without on the same feeder!
