The Brown Rat, Rattus norvegicus, is distributed throughout the UK. Also known as the Common or Norway Rat, it is a pest of stored food, carries multiple human diseases and will also predate wild and domestic birds’ eggs, chicks and adults of smaller species.

While the use of rodenticide has been the primary control method of rats over the last half century, poison use in the British countryside is becoming increasingly restricted due to the potential for secondary poisoning, particularly within birds of prey.

At PERDIX we carry a wide range of modern humane and effective poison-free rodent traps  and baits to help control rat populations in rural and urban environments. We also produce cheap and easy to use tracking cards that will monitor an area for rodents for months at a time. Browse the range of products below and if you have any questions please get in touch.
