The PERDIX Crow & Magpie Larsen Trap has been designed in conjunction with the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) advisory service to effectively capture corvid pest species (ie. crows, magpies, jackdaws, jays, rooks) but particularly crows and magpies. The decoy and catching components of our Larsen trap are built and sold separately. This gives the user the flexibility to change catching cages depending on the target species in an area. It also allows multiple catching cages to be placed next to a single decoy cage.
Three types of Larsen Trap catching cage are available 1) double side-entry 2) double top-entry and 3) side and top-entry (Combination). All doors are activated via a wooden perch and are quickly and securely closed using stainless steel extension springs. The side-entry door has a locking mechanism that prevents it from opening after activation.
The Larsen trap decoy cage is designed to keep the call-bird in good health. A welded metal sheet on the roof provides shelter from rain, wind and sun while the detachable and durable wooden batten allows the call-bird to perch and roost off the ground. Decoy cages are also supplied with a green cage cup for holding food and a bottle drinker for supplying clean water.
Available with three types of entry.
You can choose from the combination entry, this has one top and one side entry door, or we also have top or side entry only options.
