The PERDIX Double Entry Larsen Pod is our latest cage trap for catching crows, magpies and jays. Designed to be used with or without a decoy cage, the double entry design allows the bird to walk in from either direction. Both spring loaded doors are activated simultaneously when the perch is stepped on. When used on its own, it is primarily designed to be used to catch crows using eggs (dummy or real).

The PERDIX Double Entry Larsen Pod is our latest cage trap for catching crows, magpies and jays. Designed to be used with or without a decoy cage, the double entry design allows the bird to walk in from either direction. Both spring loaded doors are activated simultaneously when the perch is stepped on. When used on its own, it is primarily designed to be used to catch crows using eggs (dummy or real).

The PERDIX Double Entry Larsen Pod is made from high quality 1" x 3" (2.5 x 7.5cm) 12 gauge weld mesh and, as with all of our live-capture cage traps, the PERDIX  Double Entry Larsen Pod is welded together rather than clipped to produce a very strong trap with no sharp edges. To protect the trap from corrosion and reduce its visibility while being used, the PERDIX Double Entry Larsen Pod has a high quality olive drab powder-coated finish. This trap uses four (2 per door) high quality stainless steel springs to ensure the doors close quickly when the treadle perch is activated.
